Governance
Philangethemba is set up as a non-profit company Philangethemba Impact NPC (reg number 2016/449495/08) with its Board of Directors drawn primarily from members of St Agnes Church. The diagram to the right displays the relationships. The Parish Council appoints 3 directors and the Rector is a director ex officio. A supporter group with a particularinterest in the work of Philangethemba and Social Justice (known as the Members) elects up to 3 directors and the Board itself can appoint up to 3 other directors.  
 
The current directors are : Themba Mathe (Chair), Siphiwe Gumede (Manager), Revd Peter Houston, Louise Beghin, Mark Hargreaves, Craig Kiggen, Ross Norton. 
 
The company is a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO Number 930056669) and is authorised to issue 18A tax certificates. The company‚Äôs audited financial statements are available on request.
Operations
The programs of Philangethemba are executed by a team comprising staff employed from local communities, interns who are school leavers from Molweni and volunteers from the community and from St Agnes church. This grouping brings a unique mix of knowledge of the needs of the community and specialist skills from the supporting church and all come with a passion to raise the HOPE quotient in the Molweni community.
The overall program is managed by Revd Siphiwe Gumede, who has been with Philangethemba from its earliest days.
